Sisters of the Stilettos
There was a time my spiritual director did not know what to
do with me … he suggested that I enter into a convent (a contemplative one)
since I lived thought, wrote and spoke about Jesus Christ…
Father felt being in a convent was the answer for me and he
would get me into one … I could spend my
days … just praying … hmmm... I looked at him and said “NO THANK YOU” and besides that is insulting suggesting only
women in a convent could be holy and can eat.. sleep… and think of God … no we women
in the world could do the same thing and many do! Anyway the “convents now a days”… do not seem
to be places of prayer! (I will speak to that in future postings)
But as I was driving home after my session with Father …. I
thought about starting my own “order of nuns”… yes … I thought … and I even
have a name for the order and I know what they will do … let me share with you …
Sisters of the Stilettos
A “spiritual order” of women of all faiths dedicated to showing love,
mercy and compassion to all. We are women who believe in God. That God is our
Creator and father and through him we are all one throughout the world. It is
our mission to extend to all the love of God in what ever fashion we can to
shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, cloth the naked, provide health care for
the sick, visit the shut-in and the imprisoned. We are not bound by locale or
religious denomination; we are universal in its truest form. We are not a
building or a man made structure we are the temples of God reaching out to
other temples of God our brothers and sisters.
We do not judge anyone in their beliefs or religious practices, we
choose to love all people where they are not seeking to convert them to anyone
religion but to love them one and all. We seek to serve others in the manner
that meets their needs through love and compassion for them within their
dignity as a child of God, like ourselves.
We choose never to judge, never to withhold love and mercy upon anyone,
choosing instead to rise above our human condition and personal preference. Our
mission is to help others in a fashion void of any type of evangelization of
any religion, other then to proclaim that there is a God and he knows where you
are and it is him who will help and guide you throughout your life. Our mission
is to love you to help you and to say to you no matter your faith, we care we
are here to help in any manner we can. We are here to show you that you are
royalty, you have a God that created you in his love and he cares for you and
through this God of ours your are our concern, you are family. Every woman is a
princess and ever man a prince within the dignity of our personal individuality
and life lived.
We walk in our stilettos on
the path made for all by Jesus Christ
As many “new orders” have patron saints to watch over their
new formation, we as well have two that we call upon to watch over and
protect this Order of Stilettos.
The first being Mary Magdalene who throughout history,
especially within the Catholic Church was maligned and slander without cause as
being a prostitute, when history tells us she was really a woman of means and
character. The Catholic Church finally apologizing to her in a Papal letter
dated 1968.... yet many still malign her ...
The second being Princess Diana, she whose private life
suffered she made many missteps in her stilettos yet her ability to love and reach out to others was
outstanding. Prince Diana showing herself to be a princess even when the title was
taken away from her upon her divorce. We all as women are called to such
compassion and love, Princess Diana showed to all. And we as daughters of our
Father in heaven are all Princesses stemming from the royal family of God
himself.
