We were created to follow love not dogma
Obedience and “following orders” didn’t the SS say that about Hitler … “just following orders and being obedient”... It is called the Nuremberg defense
Few defendants at any of the Nuremberg trials denied the
accusations made against them, and often their own testimony was used to
convict them. Otto Ohlendorf, the former commandant of Einsatzgruppe D, was
sentenced to death for the murder of about 90,000 Jews, Roma, and Sinti after
admitting that he had ordered his men to kill children as well as adults. His
defense was simple: he was just following orders. Another defendant, Rudolf
Höss, the commandant at Auschwitz, used the same defense.
He explained:
Don’t you see, we SS men were not supposed to think about
these things; it never even occurred to us. . . . We were all so
trained to obey orders without even thinking that the thought of disobeying an
order would simply never have occurred to anybody, and somebody else would have
done just as well if I hadn’t. . . . I really never gave much thought
to whether it was wrong. It just seemed a necessity
The judges at Nuremberg rejected the “following orders”
defense.
They said that when an individual follows an order that is illegal
under international law, he is responsible for that choice, except under certain
circumstances.
For instance, if the individual could prove that he was ignorant
of the fact that the order was illegal, he would not be responsible. But the
judges at Nuremberg maintained that it would have been impossible for members
of Einsatzgruppen not to know that murdering civilians was both illegal and
immoral. Another exception, the judges said, would be if a person obeyed an
illegal order to avoid physical harm, torture, or death.
In their judgment at
the Einsatzgruppen trial, the judges wrote: “No court will punish a man who,
with a loaded pistol at his head, is compelled to pull a lethal lever. Nor need
the peril be that imminent in order to escape punishment. But were any of the
defendants coerced into killing Jews under the threat of being killed
themselves if they failed in their homicidal mission
The above speaks to “human law”
what the hierarchy in the church says they speak to is “the law of God”… for
they truly believe (or they have instilled in the laity to believe this) that they have the power on earth to bind God
here and in eternity (a concept that is prosperous to say the least) that a
mere mortal is going to determine the fate of a soul created by God himself ;
only the devil thinks in such a fashion and he speaks via his own pride not
truth …
They base this upon the words of Jesus to Peter … words that were
spoken in ancient Aramaic (and a lower class dialect of this dead language as
well) and translated into Latin or Greek
… so I am suspect of even the translation ... never mind the so called truth the Catholic hierarchy, states they derive
from these words…
I would submit … if “obedience”
was the ultimate goal of Jesus Christ then there would be no need for “free
will” for the soul could not exercise it under the “law of obedience” if the
soul must submit itself to a “human” who is calling for its obedience, that is
slavery and not freedom of which Jesus Christ came to earth to break the bonds
of … there would be no need for formulation of consciousness either, which is
what Mother Church is supposed to be teaching her children, not dictating to
its children.
Also Jesus Christ called us children of God and our one true
Father is Abba and It is God the Father who is the head of the household (a
Father is the one and only who can claim obedience upon a soul, his children)…
And if “obedience saves” there
would be no need for Jesus Christ either …The Jews who Jesus was a member of were very "obedient to the law" ... but not to "mercy and love" , which trumps obedience to any law or human (papal) dictate ...
While some perpetrators in the Holocaust claimed, and may
have believed, that they would be physically harmed if they did not follow
orders to participate in mass murder, historian Doris Bergen notes that the
Nazis did not harm those who refused:
It is true there is not one
single example of physical harm coming to a SS solider who refuse to follow
orders… and I dare say this is true with the hierarchy (not many are killed or
physically harmed by not being obedient to the Church) … they are “killed
emotionally and psychologically though”, and their reputations are
assassinated … they are given a death by
a 1,000 unseen wounds and for many their faith is destroyed …
this soul
throughout its life will be denied the comfort and healing power of Jesus
Christ for they have been told they are “unworthy for they have not been
obedient” … WOW and the hierarchy of the Church thinks the God/man who hung on
the Cross is ok with that … what monumental
hubris that speaks to …
We are living in a time of
salvation based in mercy and love not obedience to a corporation that claims
power greater than the workings of the Cross … no one steps between the Cross and
a soul … it is the real estate of Jesus Christ and His Father who sent him to
earth … This reminds me of those who
“kill in the name of God”… trust me if God wants you dead he does not need to
hire a hit man to kill for Him … you are just dead … and God does not need
“human obedience to save a soul” … the
obedience of His only begotten Son on the Cross is the one and only obedience
needed both here and in heaven…
What God seeks is love, mercy,
charity, humility, and transparency … do not lie, cover-up and then say you are
coming in his name … that is breaking a commandment by using God’s name in vain … for you never knew him
if you can crush a soul in the name of
Obedience… and what you have done to these souls shall be done to you for all
eternity …
You shall not
take the name of the LORD your God in vain,
for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name
in vain. Thou shalt not take the name of the
LORD thy God in vain for the LORD will not hold
guiltless anyone that takes his name in vain.
Do not come in the name of God, while you hid your own sins ...
