Formal adoration? ...Just sit before the Tabernacle anytime!
I am not a fan of “formal adoration” of the Eucharist … as
in a parish that sets up times and dates to come into church and sit before the
true presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Such things train the laity to
think they can only “adore Jesus in a formal manner”, when the same Jesus
Christ is in the Tabernacle 24/7 …365 days …
Formal adoration to me is to stiff and regulated by form
and dogma, things Jesus entered into the world to break us free from … so visit
Jesus every day at any time … no need for formal adoration … for Jesus Christ
is “formally present” in every tabernacle in the world at every moment in time.
And no need to take a trip to a “shrine” … the power of Jesus Christ is present
in the small Chapel or your local church, just as much as if you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars traveling to a “shrine” … so you want extra grace in
your life … use the money you would spend to travel to a “shrine” and give it
to the poor instead and show yourself to be a child of God in this manner …
If the bread has been consecrated Jesus is there, in the monstrance or in the tabernacle ... I prefer the tabernacle more intimate and always here ...
