Cell phones and the emotionally needy

I soooooo hate cell phones and I am not a fan of those who simply must have one attached to themselves 24/7 … from senior citizens in church, who just have to have their cell phones with them during Mass and turned on,  to parents who give their 7 year old or younger cell phones.
And let me no get into those who constantly text on their phone …

I work with mostly younger people (well actually everyone at work, I am the only one who refuses to bring their cell on the work site) all the other employees do have their cells with them and whenever there is a lull in work they are on their phones… I watch them and they are like “islands” never talking to each other, just with their heads down reading texts or sending them … this is true in homes as well… my own family does this … they never shut off their phones and they are always on them … so why even visit them?

Human relationships and interactions are being destroyed, via a computer with a ring tone.

I see this constant cell phone usage as being an emotional crutch for those who cannot amuse themselves or form close personal relationships, or those who just have a desperate need to be “important” and over share in life.

The real strength in life is in silence …  in meditation and prayer the separating of self from all the chaos in the world … such as just sitting in front of the Tabernacle and being still (no cell phone needed) … God speaks to the heart and in silence …

This constant use of cell phones is causing real injuries to people, this includes those who do not use one … live close to a cell tower and you are being bombarded with their signals, which in some cases has caused cancer … and with the new 5 G signal this has only gotten worse …

Get off your phones talk face to face to people and talk to God.
