the real homeless not the fake ones
Ugh …. The woman, play acting, in her
videos being homeless is a personal annoyance to me, big time! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i3z5hjcibg
(Yep I lack in tolerance with many things) …
but to me these videos posted, by this woman take away from the real plight of
those who are homeless, poor, unemployed and do not have the “choice” of living
in their car or living in apartment as the women in these videos has … so on
some level it makes a mockery of the homeless.. Reduces being homeless as a
choice and a game to play or a way to make YouTube videos…
Reminds me of a diocesan priest, I knew in the past … came from a very wealthy
home, educated and very much favored in the hierarchy … sent to Rome to study …
given a prestigious Pastor position at a young age … “fast tracked to say the
least” in the politics of the church…
I remember speaking to this priest face
to face, many years ago and his bragging
about how he “lived with the homeless on the streets for several months” … my
thinking back then as it is now … you did not “live” with the homeless … you
patronized the homeless .. In order to “live” with the homeless you need to
have no other options before you … you need to be in their position …
This young priest was no St. Frances …
denouncing his family’s wealth… Walking away from all the comforts of home and
diocesan special treatment … totally abandoning himself to become “homeless”…
No he played being “homeless” to appear to be “holy” to gain “street creds” in
the diocese … The homeless were used by him to be his backdrop … his props to
advance his political career in the church … give up all your safety nets in life, then you will know what it truly means to be "homeless"... not willing to do that then spare society the role playing ...
