A child of God

I once went to a baptism, where the child was baptized by a Bishop and afterwards the Bishop said “now he is a child of God”… really? What was the baby prior to Baptism “chopped liver”… who created the child?

And this same Bishop covered up sexual abuses on children and the rape of seminarians in his own dioceses … and hey they were all “baptized” in the Catholic Church … but I guess that did not count to this Bishop only covering his own butt did and the hierarchy's power and money does… so at the end of the day does that Bishop’s truly believe in God’s grace and the power of Baptism? Or is that Bishop more concerned about his own power and position in the Church and low on the list comes the "baptized" children of God …

And what about the hierarchy who states they are “pro-life” … for abortion kills a child of God in the womb, they say ... yet once born according to the above Bishop, they are not a child of God until they are Baptized … screwed up theology and doubled standards, by the hierarchy and priests, they are what is causing many and I mean many young parents not even baptize their children any more …

But I have to say, I have had debates with several Knights of Columbus members as well … who are Pro-life… until the baby is born then they want to deny the infant and the mother health care, deny them food stamps to eat or shelter to live in … so yes they are not killing the baby in the womb, they are waiting for the children to be born and then killing the child with lack of health care, food and shelter … such children are more vulnerable to child abuse and sex trafficking, subjects the knights do not want to address.

According to the Chinese, when you save someone's life...   through saving someone's life, you then were responsible for that person... from that moment forward. You were obligated to look after them, and provide comfort and aid if they were ever in need again.

I believe this to be true and thus it makes everyone who is “pro-life” obligated to always care for the life they saved … if not,  they on some spiritual level, are like a “dead beat parent who walks away from their responsibility” …

Think of it this way … what if Jesus saved you on the Cross and then he just walks away and says “screw you, you are on your own, I saved your life” … how would we feel about that and could anyone of us survive such coldness,  from “our Savior” … No of course not … yet many feel it perfectly acceptable to save the life of an unborn child and then just walk away and say,  “screw you to the mother and the child”… get your own food, get your own health insurance and housing … how do you think that flies with God…and how do you think God will respond to you and your family when you need help... if you abandon others who are so vulnerable...
