Election Day does your vote really matter?
I voted for Obama, when he ran for president in his first term out of my total dislike for John McCain and then my dislike for Mitt Romney when he ran for
president (it was a matter of pick your poison) …
I have to say, I did not “see” color in those presidential races, I saw the lesser of two evils … like most of our presidential candidates in all elections … and sad to say, I always vote the lesser of two evils in any given election, be it federal or local elections ... McCain was also a Warmonger and I did not like the way he "dumped his first wife", after she was severely injured in a car crash. Only to remarry a wealthy woman who financially supported his political goals (which she did)...
Romney in my opinion just had/ has bad ju-ju, he radiates "do not trust him" ...

Did Obama do harm to our country … I believe he did, yet I
still believe McCain and Romney would have been worse … and history proved me right with McCain, he never did what he told his voters he would do ... nor did / does Romney and nor did his VP pick Paul Ryan, even later when Ryan became the speaker of the house ...
I tend to be liberal, yet I am not a progressive,
my political stance hearkens back to the JFK Democratic Party. I find both the Republicans
and Democrats to be bat shit crazy, neither side wanting to give any ground on
their positions, and each side has crazy ass ideas as to how the Country should move forward.
What is most troubling to me is the disrespect given the office of
the Presidency and to the man who sits in the office now … there were many
times I did not agree with Obama, or George W Bush, yet I respected their position and I even defended Obama on radio (Catholic radio) for there were many “Catholics” who ripped into
him and disrespected him … and I even received emails, from some “good
Catholics” about how much they hated him and I have to say in all honesty some
of those emails were racist. Especially when Obama spoke at Norte Dame… so both political parties show great disrespect and hostility for each other.
The really sad part is behind the scenes many of these politicians are close friends and only cut it up in public... thus making the fringe in society angry and believing what they see and hear publicly, from their Representatives and then these fringe members of society feel they can take to the streets and commit acts of violence, because their Representatives told them to do so... by their words and deeds

Yet I have never seen a president (in my lifetime) attacked
like Trump is being attacked now and has been since he was elected, it is most disturbing.
It shows a society that is unwilling to adjust and a “deep state” (really does
exist) that is flailing to keep in power … a “deep state” that was not elected
by the people, but is self-created, by a top heavy and burdensome Bureaucracy that
has too much power and does not want to give it up, even to the point of falsifying
testimony and documents. The current congress is not about the “people’s
business” but about revenge and a power play against each other.
Elections are no longer about, “pick the bad candidate from
the worse” … it is we the people have lost control of our country at the highest
levels, our votes do not matter … if you vote someone in and the Bureaucracy does
not like them, they are destroyed. And if they are shown to be sleazy in office
and have enough political pull they can still remain in office …
To be “woke” in this country should not mean … we fight each
other… we need to band together to fight our corrupt politicians and
Bureaucracy … we are being played by those in power and we all need to get out
of the game… and get those with corrupt power out of control … I truly believe Washington, DC is a swamp of corruption and misuse of power and I will credit Trump for exposing this to Americans.
Obama now states it is time to “stop cancel politics” of the
woke generation … meaning it is time to stop being fired or abused due to your opinion
on things, I think Obama is saying too little, too late and while he was president,
he did the opposite …
I like Michele Obama, she was very gracious to my granddaughter, when they met, yet Mrs. Obama is now blaming the violence and poverty in the Chicago to “White flight” … which stands is direct contradiction to what her husband is saying now, “stop the politics of blaming and seeking revenge” …
all I have to say … is wow… our country is really screwed up and we all need to take a portion of the blame and work towards solutions or it will only get worse… civil war style worse! or maybe it is already to late ... just go to God and pray ... of course the progressives say, "do not tell me them you are praying for them" they do not want our prayers and good wishes ... now that is evil ... true evil if you cannot accept "prayers, good wishes and good intent", what is left but the evils of society, not the grace. Deny the power of prayer and good intent and you will get what you ask for "chaos" and ill will ...
a foot note here ... we are not the only Country where the people's votes do not seem to matter ... the people of England voted to leave the EU in 2016 ( Brexit) to date their politicians or whatever they are called in England refuse to honor the people's vote!I like Michele Obama, she was very gracious to my granddaughter, when they met, yet Mrs. Obama is now blaming the violence and poverty in the Chicago to “White flight” … which stands is direct contradiction to what her husband is saying now, “stop the politics of blaming and seeking revenge” …
