You cannot sink it
You cannot sink this boat …That sounded
like a challenge to me …
While in Florida one Spring, I rented
a small “Boston whaler” … to cruise around in the bay for a few hours in the
morning, other family members were still asleep in the condo, so I was alone.
The boat owner said… if I can trip the boat over, it is a free rental… not only
for that morning but forever!
Now the stakes were high and I like a challenge
even a crazy one, like was just placed before me … so I took the owner up on
his offer and proceeded to race full throttle around the bay for over an hour …
I would speed up and then turn sharp to one side or the other then try to do a
fast figure 8 … I did everything and anything to tip that sucker … I was like
the Evil Knievel of boats on that day … the owner followed me out on another boat
just in case I did get myself into trouble and he laughed, as he watched me do everything that I could other
than punching a hole in boat to make it flip … finally I gave up …
But this reminds me of the “ship of
salvation” ... Jesus Christ is Captain of that ship and nothing is going to
sink it no matter what …
and a P.S. ... thank you Jesus, for not letting me kill myself that day ... for I did all those crazy moves without wearing a life jacket!!!
and a thank you Jesus for all the other times, I tested your patience with my other crazy ass stunts and you did not let me drown!
