Bible study for free!
One of my neighbors has taught Bible study in his church for
nearly 50 years. He is a man filled with faith and extremely insightful although
not a Catholic, he is has given me insights into the Bible that I have not considered
before … like all things one needs to listen and to discern what they have been
taught in regards to another’s perspective on the Bible.
I believe the best we can do for each other in life is to
make us think … think about God, think about self, society and creation in
general … if a person can do this for me… I know they are a gift from God to me,
my neighbor does this …so I know he is grace to me from God
My neighbor gave me 26 hours of recorded classes he
did on the Bible (and he did so for free) … whereas my Bishop wanted me to
spend $50 to hear him speak about the Bible for about an hour and half … so who
is more like Jesus Christ in this matter … I would say my neighbor is hands
down more like Christ… my Bishop not so much…
One of the things, I always
remember in Scripture is God’s thoughts on being “religious” , when on the day
of final judgment many will come up to the throne of God and say … “did not
speak in your name” and God will response with a “I never knew you” … I think many
in the hierarchy of the Church will hear those words from God … those who
appear to be “religious” and come in the name of God … all while leading a
double hidden life … the fools think they can hide such from God and still
remain guiltless and clean before the throne of God …
